Scott Anthony argues that innovation does not necessarily require tons of money. In fact he contends that too much of it (money, resources) can actually be detrimental to innovation. He cites an interesting quote from Scott Cook, Chairman of Intuit about the most important ingredient. It’s not money.

The most successful disruptive teams have an executive that is rooting for them, cheering them, mentoring them, actively spending time with them every week and protecting them from the antibodies of the rest of the companies that are trying to love them to death, or, exterminate them.
